What is the OMEGA label?

OMEGA is the latest eSIM label featuring the Super IMSI (SuprIM) technology developed in-house by Bondio. The SuprIM technology has all the superpowers of multi-IMSI technology with none of its shortcomings. It can intelligently switch the IMSI in the eSIM based on various network conditions to provide the best experience to the end user.

Internet (IPX) outage protection

This is the biggest class of telco outages, where the end user remains attached to the cell network but is unable to consume data. OMEGA eSIMs protect users from this outage by switching to an alternate route between the eSIM and the data centres during downtime, and reverting back to the original once the outage is over. All this happens without any intervention from end users or Bondio customers. Moreover, Bondio customers can clearly see the exact number of bytes per plan attachment used on the backup connectivity — and only pay for those. For example, at the time of an IPX outage, if an end user has 200 MB left on their plan attachment, then upon enabling the backup route they will only get 200 MB on the backup, not more. What this all means: fewer impacted end users, fewer customer support tickets, and more savings.

Best prices

Due to the multi-IMSI aspect of OMEGA eSIMs, the eSIM can use different IMSIs in different countries — giving the best possible prices in all the countries where OMEGA is available.

Lightning-fast network attachment

With 3 IMSIs (and more to come), the OMEGA eSIM doesn’t iterate on each IMSI one by one in the hope that one of them will attach to the network. The SuprIM technology pre-selects and configures the IMSI in the eSIM before the network attachment even begins. This allows the eSIM to attach to the network as quickly as possible. In very rare cases, the eSIM may try network attachment with a second IMSI, but that will be a calculated step and not a blind iteration of all the IMSIs.

How to use the OMEGA label

OMEGA works exactly the same as any other existing label. All you need to do is order OMEGA eSIMs on your Bondio account and use the OMEGA coverage ID in the Create Subscription V2 and Create Plan Attachment APIs.
